    Three-dimensional geological model of deposits with the integration of data of multi-sources: a case study of lead-zinc deposit, Sichuan Province

    • In the exploring work of a lead-zinc deposit in Sichuan Province, a gliding nappe structure was discovered which is deeply under the ground with gentle occurrence, widely distributed but had no clear outcrops on the ground surface.Traditionally the gliding nappe structure can be hardly represented in the two-dimensional geological cross sections, so it's necessary to construct a three-dimensional geological model to present the geological structures based on the GOCAD software.First, this paper built a database which includes DEM, geological maps, boreholes, prospecting line sections, satellite images and many other multi-sources primary geological data.Second, we construct a structure model based on fault lines in the geological maps and prospecting line sections, then established structural framework, displayed the occurrence and distribution of the gliding nappe structure.Third, through the variation function analyzer to analyze the lead-zinc grade, this paper used kriging interpolation with trend on the ore-bearing layer and built orebody grade distribution model and construct stratigraphy model combined with borehole data.Finally, we construct a three-dimensional geological entity model which include topography, structure, orebody and stratigraphy.Through the straight section based on the model, we discussed the morphological characteristics of geological units and deep mineralization prospect.The result shows that the modeling of the area with the integration of multi-sources data, can build an effective entity model to integrate original data generated during the prospecting period.The model shows the relationships between stratigraphy, structure and orebody clearly, revealed hidden structure.Particularly we can check the accuracy of primary data and improve cognition with the sight of three dimensional in the progress of modeling and provide reference for deep prospecting work in the study area.
