    • Abstract
  • Eclogite discovered in the northern Dabie Mountains, Anhui, mainly occurs in granite gneiss and basic ultrabasic rocks. It is very similar to the eclogite in the southern Dabie Mountains with repect to the country rocks, mineral composition and geochemical characteristics. The current distribution of more eclogite in the south than in the north is mainly due to violent differential uplift and erosion in the Mesozoic thermal uplift regime and extensive emplacement of Mesozoic granites.
