Abstract

The paper gives a detailed description and analysis on the definition and characteristics of geologic literature source. Besides, it proposes constructive suggestion on strengthening the building of information source: to set up a uniformed nationwide access of geology information based on which to establish a standard giant platform to provide information processing, researching and analyzing capability for further full-perspective geology research work and to integrate a high-quality and high-efficiency on-line network; It′s also recommended the accomplished modern database can be served as a global distribution center or supermarket of geologic information.
