Abstract: According to the paleontological data and isotopic age data.a tripartite division of the Cretaceous in Anhui has been made and the Cretaceous-Jura- ssic boundary in the province has been revised.According to the geological characteristics of Anhui,the great majority of the strata in Anhui may correspond to the Rehe Group,and the Jiande Group should be of early Cre taceous age.The Upper Jurassic is absent in most parts of the areas north of the Huaihe River and along the Changjiang River.
