    西藏冈底斯西段海相始新世地层的发现及地质意义

    THE DISCOVERY OF THE EOCENE MARINE STRATA IN THE WESTERN SECTOR OF GANGDISE,XIZANG,AND THEIR GEOLOGICAL SIGNIFICANCE

    • 摘要: 自1975年在仲巴县麦拉山口南坡、林周县牛马沟发现海相第三纪化石后(章炳高、穆西南1979),我队又开展日喀则幅1:100区调工作,相继在仲巴县错江顶、萨噶县如角藏布发现了海相第三纪地层,并测制了地层剖面。建立了下第三纪古—始新世错江顶群(1979),1982年郭铁鹰、粱定益等在噶尔县达机翁发现含海相第三纪化石的转石,1984~1985年笔者与王全海、王小波、张小江等同志在该地测制了地层剖面,建立了始新世达机翁组。

       

      Abstract: The discovery of the Eocene marine strata in the western sector of Gangdise suggests that Gangdise was linked with the early Tertiary sea area of the Indus—Ladakh.Thus the highest horizon of the Tertiary marine strata on the southern margin of Gangdise in Tibet.Based on this premise,it may be in the main confirmed that in the middle Eocene seawater retreated out of Tibet from east to west.
