    Questioning the maximum horizontal displacement of the north flank fault of Nanhuashan Xihuashan Mountain

    • 摘要: 关于南华山—西华山北麓断裂最大水平位移值,《海原活动断裂带》一书认为达12 ~14 .5 km 。但通过近年的调查研究,测制了大量地层剖面,系统采集样品,建立了南华山—西华山地层层序,进行了1∶2 .5 万大比例尺地质填图,取得了丰富的第一手资料,认为上述断裂位移值的证据不足,并从地层、岩石、断裂力学性质3 方面作了阐述。

       

      Abstract: In the book Haiyuan Active Faulting Zone,a 12 14.5 km maximum horizontal displacement was proposed for the north flank fault of the Nanhuashan Xihuashan Mountain.Recent research suggests,on the basis of geological mapping and re subdivision of the stratigraphic sequence,that the evidence for the above mentioned displacement is insufficient.Details of such questioning are given in terms of stratigraphy,petrology and fracturing mechanism.
