    STRUCTURAL DEFORMATION OF MICROSTROMATOLITE IN THE BAYAN OBO GROUP OF INNERMONGOLIA AND ITS GEOLOGICAL SIGNIFICANCE

    • 摘要: 白云鄂博群哈拉霍疙特岩组(H8)顶部产有微小型叠层石,它经受构造变形,从宏观标本到微观薄片,均可见到从典型的叠层石向受构造变形而呈现出流变构造的逐渐过渡现象。前人曾将部分微小型叠层石或它的构造变形物(流变构造)鉴定为“珊瑚化石”。本文主要描述了这些微小型叠层石遭受构造变形后的变化特征。

       

      Abstract: There occur ministromatolites at the top of Member H8 of the Bayan Obo Group. They have the structural elements and features of deformationmetamorphism of folded stromatolites. The phenomenon of gradual transition from typical stromatolites to rheomorphic structure due to structural deformation may be observed in both macroscopic specimens and microscopic thin sections. This paver describes the changes and features of the above-mentioned ministromatolite after structural deformation. The authors consider that some "coral fossils" identified by predecessors are ministromatolites.
