Abstract:
Dinosaur skeletons and tracks recorded in Shandong province are mainly Cretaceous, while those from Jurassic are relatively rare. This article describes the tracks of tridactyl theropods and pterosaur tracks preserved in the Middle-Upper Jurassic Santai Formation near Yangzhuang, Xintai City, Shandong Province, East China. The discoveries of pterosaur tracks are the first records of Jurassic strata in Shandong Province, among which the tridactyl theropod dinosaur tracks are assigned to
Grallator isp.; and the Pterosaur tracks are assigned to
Pteraichnus isp..However, the tracks are poorly preserved, so it is difficult to make any particular ichno-taxonomic analysis. The tridactyl theropod dinosaur and pterosaur tracks found in Santai Formation enrich the biological species in the research area and are of great significance to the paleoecology, paleogeography and paleoenvironment of this area.
