从四射珊瑚试论新疆天山地区早—中石炭世的过渡层及其时代归属

    THE EARLY-MIDDLE CARBONIFEROUS TRANSITION ZONE AND ITS AGE ASSIGNMENT IN THE TIANSHAN MOUNTAINS REGION,XINJIANG,DISCUSSED IN THE LIGHT OF TETRACORALS

    • 摘要: 新疆天山地区石炭纪地层十分发育,化石丰富,其中尤以天山西部的昭苏县阿克沙克、尼勒克县胡吉尔台和天山东部的托克逊县马鞍桥、哈密县的雅满苏等地石炭系发育更为完善,层序清楚、富含化石、且保存完美,是研究石炭纪地层比较理想的地区之一。近年来由于地层研究工作的进一步开展,收集了大量的地层和古生物资料,为石炭纪各统界线的划分打下了基础。本文试图从1966、1978和1979年区调大队地层分队和第六地质大队测制的地层剖面和所采集的四射珊瑚论述新疆天山地区早—中石炭世的过渡层及其时代归属。

       

      Abstract: A sequence of Early and Middle Carboniferous strata with hybrid organisms was commonly developed in the Tianshan Mountains region, Xinjiang, after deposition of the Early Carboniferous Datangian strata with large amounts of Gigantoproductus, Striatifera, Kueichouphyllum, Siphonophyllia,Carcinophyllum, Diphyphyllum, etc. and before deposition of the Middle Carboniferous strata with an abundance of Choristites, Profusulinella, Pseudostaffella, etc. The author calls it the transition zone. This zone contains an abundance of tetracorals and brachiopods. The tetracorals consist mostly of the genera and species that continued from the Early Carboniferous, such as Aulina, Yuanophyllum, Lonsdaleia, Lithostrotion, Arachnolasma, Ganganophyllum and Aspidiophyllum, but some common elements of the Middle Carboniferous such as Gshelia, Paralithostrotion and Orygmophllum are also present. Brachiopods consist of some species that have gone through a long geologic course. The common species Choristites of the Middle Carboniferous occurs individually in the trannsition zone, and besides Middle Carboniferous species such as Brachytthylina lata may be recognized. The refore, in the light of the characteristics of the sedimentary formation of this sequence of strata and the general appearance of the biota, particularly the character of tetracorals, the author tentatively assigns this transition zone to the upper part of the Lower Carboniferous.
