Abstract: According to the coesite-and coesite pseudomorph-bearing eclogite belt discovered recently in a collision zone between the Sino-Korean and Yang- tze plates,it is inferred that the amplitude of the sinistral strike-slip dis- placement of the Tancheng-Lujiang fault in eastern China may attain 550 km and that its movement took place after the Mesozoic.
