NEW ADVANCES IN THE STUDY OF THE TECTONICS IN THE SOUTH TIANSHAN MOUNTAINS,XINJIANG

  • 摘要: 扼要介绍了笔者近期在南天山大地构造研究方面取得的新成果:①发现晚志留世单笔石化石;②根据黑云母透闪石石英片岩等606Ma的Rb-Sr等时线年龄,确认了库尔干前寒武纪构造窗;③根据蛇绿混杂岩硅质岩中放射虫化石时代和辉长岩斜长石单矿物(40)Ar/(39)Ar法高温坪年龄333.51±8.77Ma,确认南天山存在晚古生代蛇绿岩。
    Abstract: The authors briefly introduce new results obtained recently in the study on the tectonicsof the South Tianshan Mountains. (1)Late Silurian MOnograptus sp. has been discovered. (2)The Precambrian Ku’ergan tectonic window has been identified according to the 606 Ma RbSr isochron age of the biotite-tremolite-quartz schist. (3)Late Paleozoic ophiolites have beenconfirmed to exist in the South Tianshan Mountains according to the age of fossil radiolariansin chens of ophiolitic melanges and the single-mineral 40Ar/39Ar high-temperature plateauage of 333. 51±8. 77 Ma of plagioclae from gabbros.
