Abstract:
The Yanshan movement was prevalent in Zhejiang and various provinces of South China, but there are still some divergent views about its stages. Through purification of the lithostratigraphic units and unconformities of tectonic movements, the Mesozoic tectonic movements are divided into five stages. The authors suggest that the crustal movement after the Indosinian movement till the terminal Cretaceous is called the Yanshanian tectonic stage sensus lato, while the Yanshanian movement sensus stricto is assigned to the terminal Cretaceous. The Fujian-Zhejiang movement will continue to be used.
