NEW ADVANCES IN THE STUDY OF THE MULTIPLE STRATIGRAPHIC DIVISION AND CORRELATION IN WESTERN SICHUAN

摘要: 概要介绍了四川西部地层多重划分对比研究成果──修订后的四川西部地层区划和岩石地层序列。该成果主要进展是系统修订了全部岩石地层单位，全面理顺和完善了岩石地层序列，在构造结合带上建立了特殊的岩石地层层序。新建了前震旦纪的下喀莎组，确定了盐井群的地质时代为早震旦世，并提出将九顶山地层小区归属于扬子地层区的新见解。

Abstract: This paper briefly introduces the achievements in the study of the multiple stratigraphic classification and correlation-revised integrated stratigraphic regionalization and lithostratigraphic sequence-in western Sichuan.The major achevements are systematic revision of all the lithostratigraphic units,complete elaboration and perfection the lithostratigraphic sequence and establishment of a special lithostratigraphic sequence on the basis of the tectonic junction belts The authors have established the Precambrian Lower Haxa Formation,determined the Yaming Group to be of Early Sinian age and proposed a new idea of assignment of the Jiudingshan stratigraphic area to the Yangtze stratigraphic region.
