Abstract: The study of volcanic event sedimentary claystone is a part of newrising event sedimentology. In this paper the concept of volcanic event sedimentary claystone is explained in detail and the rock is provisionally termed volcano-sedimentary claystone. The paper briefly introduces its origin, major types and status of study with special emphasis on the study method arid existing problems. Finally the paper elucidates the significance and prospective of its study.
