Detrital zircon U-Pb ages and Hf isotopes of Early-Middle Permian sandstones from the south margin of Xing-Meng orogenic belt and their tectonic significance

    利用LA-MC-ICP-MS 分析技术,对兴蒙造山带南缘下二叠统三面井组和中二叠统额里图组砂岩中的碎屑锆石进行了U-Pb 年龄和Hf 同位素研究。结果显示,三面井组砂岩记录了3 组碎屑锆石年龄:280~369Ma(4 颗)、1800~2271Ma(43 颗,峰值1877Ma)和2507~2711Ma(9 颗)。额里图组砂岩碎屑锆石年龄集中分布在271~371Ma(9 颗)、1258~1395Ma(18 颗,峰值1326Ma)和1695~2454Ma(34 颗,峰值1864Ma)3 个年龄区间。对比研究发现,样品中的元古宙和太古宙碎屑锆石是华北克拉通古老基底的反映;晚古生代锆石具有较低的εHf(t)值(-5.3~-23.7)和较老的Hf 模式年龄(1124~3039Ma),与华北克拉通北缘晚古生代岩浆岩具有一致性,而明显区别于兴蒙造山带内岩浆岩Hf 同位素特征,说明前者是其物源供给区。结合区域资料认为,华北克拉通北缘在早―中二叠世期间不存在类似安第斯型的俯冲大陆边缘,三面井组和额里图组砂岩是在伸展背景下沉积形成的。

    Abstract:

    In this paper, the authors used the LA-MC-ICP-MS analytical techniques to determine U-Pb ages and Hf isotopic composition of detrital zircons from the Lower Permian Sanmianjing Formation and Middle Permian Elitu Formation in Zhengxiangbai Banner area of Inner Mongolia on the southern margin of the Xing-Meng orogenic belt. Detrital zircon dating of the sandstone of the Sanmianjing Formation yielded three main age populations respectively at 280~369Ma (4 grains), 1800~2271Ma (43 grains, peaked at 1877Ma), and 2507~2711Ma (9 grains), whereas the Elitu Formation displays prominent age groups at 271~371Ma (9 grains), 1258~1395Ma (18 grains, peaked at 1326Ma) and 1695~2454Ma (34 grains, peaked at 1864Ma), respectively. The detrital zircon geochronological and Hf isotopic studies indicate that the Meso-Proterozoic to Neoarchean grains were probably derived from the basement of the North China Craton. The Late Paleozoic zircons exhibit negative εHf(t) values of -5.3~-23.7 and old Hf model ages of 1124~3039Ma. These characteristics show a strong resemblance to the Late Paleozoic igneous zircons from the north margin of the North China Craton, suggesting that the source of the Sanmianjing Formation and Elitu Formation partly came from the North China Craton. Integration of provenance data with regional geological information and magmatic records suggests that no Andean-type active continental margin was generated on the northern margin of the North China Craton during Early to Middle Permian, and the Sanmianjing Formation and Elitu Formation were deposited in an extensional tectonic environment.

  • 兴蒙造山带属于中亚造山带的东段,是典型的显生宙增生型造山带[1].有关兴蒙造山带的构造格局和演化历程至今存在争议,焦点是古亚洲洋东段最终闭合的时代问题:一部分学者认为,古亚洲洋闭合于石炭纪前或更早,石炭纪或晚泥盆世以来内蒙古地区进入造山后伸展阶段[2-7];另一些学者认为,自显生宙以来,西伯利亚与华北克拉通的边缘不断相对增生,直至晚古生代末或中生代初期才对接形成一个大陆[8-13].沉积岩的物质组成与大地构造背景密切相关,详细的物源分析对了解盆地演化过程、盆山相对位置及相互作用意义重大.鉴于此,兴蒙造山带内广泛出露的二叠纪碎屑沉积岩是解决上述争议的关键.

    锆石的U-Th-Pb 同位素体系具有较高的封闭温度及较强的抗风化和抗干扰性,通常可以保存源区原岩的年龄记录.运用沉积岩碎屑锆石U-Pb 定年与Hf 同位素相结合的技术来判别物源、分析古地理已经成为一种可靠的方法[14].前人在内蒙古东南部地区也曾进行过这方面的研究,但是多集中于西拉木伦河南北两侧[15-16],对兴蒙造山带南缘的研究则略显薄弱.因此,本次选取正镶白旗地区出露良好的下二叠统三面井组和中二叠统额里图组,进行碎屑锆石LA-ICP-MS U-Pb 测年及Hf 同位素测定,分析讨论这2 套地层的物源体系及与之相关的地质背景,为晚古生代兴蒙造山带南缘盆山演化研究提供沉积学证据.

    研究区位于正镶白旗南部的三面井村—额里图组牧场一带(图 1),所处大地构造位置为兴蒙造山带南缘的温都尔庙-翁牛特旗加里东褶皱带[17].该带往西可至达尔罕茂明安联合旗,往东经翁牛特旗,直至吉林中部地区[18].研究表明,温都尔庙-翁牛特旗褶皱带是一个含有蛇绿岩残片、岩浆弧、高压变质岩和火山-沉积岩的早古生代增生陆壳区[4].依据上述截然不同的地质单元,Xiao 等[9]将该区进一步划分为温都尔庙俯冲-增生杂岩带和白乃庙岛弧带,前者含寒武纪―奥陶纪温都尔庙-西拉木伦河蛇绿混杂岩带,后者以中奥陶世―早志留世的岛弧火山岩为特征.温都尔庙-翁牛特旗早古生代造山带的南部与华北克拉通接壤,二者以赤峰-巴彦敖包断裂为界.华北克拉通北缘也称为内蒙古隆起或内蒙地轴[19],其以广泛出露太古宙―古元古代变质结晶基底为特征,盖层是中、新元古代以来的火山-沉积岩.

    研究区内出露地层从老到新依次为温都尔庙群、上志留统西别河组、上石炭统阿木山组、下二叠统三面井组和中二叠统额里图组,另有较多侏罗纪和新生代火山-沉积岩.其中,温都尔庙群是由绢云石英片岩、绿泥石英片岩、石英岩、变质火山岩等组成的早古生代中-低级变质岩.西别河组仅出露于研究区北部的大西庙附近,以青灰色-深灰色厚层灰岩夹浅褐色页岩为特征,富含腕足类、珊瑚和苔藓虫化石.阿木山组主要由砂岩、粉砂岩夹灰岩组成,产丰富的腕足类和类化石①②.

    三面井组不整合覆盖于奥陶纪片麻状石英闪长岩(年龄为462.7±4.3Ma, 未发表资料)之上.根据岩性组合特征,三面井组可进一步划分为碎屑岩段和火山岩段.其中,碎屑岩段底部是厚20~60m的灰黄色粗砂岩和含砾砂岩,其上是生物灰岩、含燧石灰岩及黄褐色砂岩、页岩夹灰岩透镜体;火山岩段由安山岩和安山质角砾岩组成(图 2剖面A-B,图 3-a).额里图组下部为砾岩、粉砂岩、含砾长石砂岩、凝灰质砂岩夹深灰色泥岩、页岩,厚度大于1000m, 产植物化石.上部由灰色-灰黑色凝灰角砾岩、安山岩等组成,厚度大于500m(图 2剖面C-D,图 3-b).

    用于碎屑锆石年代学测试的2 件砂岩样品分别取自正镶白旗西南部的三面井组和东南部的额里图组,采样坐标:14SMJ4(北纬42°3′37″、东经114°49′3.1″),14ELT3(北纬42°11′43.5″、东经115°19′53.7″)(图 1图 2).其中,三面井组砂岩为灰黄色,碎屑颗粒粒径介于0.1~1mm 之间,呈棱角状、次棱角状,成分主要为石英(70%)、长石(20%)和少量白云母(5%),杂基支撑(图 3-c).额里图组砂岩为灰白色,碎屑颗粒粒径0.1~1.5mm, 磨圆差,多呈次棱角状- 棱角状,主要成分包括石英(40%)、长石(25%)和岩屑(30%),杂基支撑.岩屑成分以石英为主(图 3-d).

    锆石挑选由河北省廊坊市宇能岩石矿物分选技术服务有限公司完成.采用常规方法将砂岩样品粉碎至300μm, 经淘洗、重选富集,再经磁选和密度分选后,在双目镜下挑选出锆石颗粒.然后将挑选出的锆石颗粒粘贴制成环氧树脂样品靶,进行打磨、抛光使锆石露出新鲜截面,以供透射光、反射光和阴极发光(CL)照相及LA-ICP-MSU-Pb 定年和Lu-Hf 同位素测试.部分代表性锆石CL 图像见图 4.

    碎屑锆石U-Pb 测年在天津地质矿产研究所同位素实验室完成.实验采用激光剥蚀等离子体质谱分析技术(LA-MC-ICP-MS),多接收器电感耦合等离子体质谱仪为Thermo Fisher 公司制造的Neptune.激光器为美国ESI 公司生产的UP193-FX 准分子激光器,激光波长193nm, 脉冲宽度5ns, 斑束直径为35μm, 能量密度13~14J/cm2,频率8~10Hz.激光剥蚀物质以氦气为载气送入Neptune, 利用动态变焦扩大色散可以同时接收质量数相差很大的U-Pb 同位素,从而进行锆石U-Pb 同位素测定.采用TEMORA 作为外部锆石年龄标样,利用NIST612 玻璃标样作为外标计算锆石样品的Pb、U、Th 含量.年龄计算采用Isoplot 程序.

    年龄大于1000Ma 时采用100 ×(207Pb/206Pb)/(206Pb/238U)计算方法,年龄小于1000Ma 时则采用100×(207Pb/235U)/(206Pb/238U)计算方法分别计算碎屑锆石年龄谐和度,并将谐和度在90%~110%之外的数据视为无效年龄.选取具有有效年龄的锆石颗粒进行了原位Lu-Hf 同位素测定.实验分析流程和校正参见耿建珍等[20].锆石Hf 同位素两阶段亏损地幔模式年龄计算过程中,亏损地幔现今(176Lu/177Hf)DM=0.0384、(176Hf/177Hf)DM=0.28325[21]εHf(t)值计算中,采用球粒陨石现今(176Lu/177Hf)CHUR=0.0332、(176Hf/177Hf)CHUR=0.282772[22].

    三面井组砂岩(14SMJ4)中的锆石为半自形次圆状-自形柱状,长50~150μm, 浅灰色-深灰色,多具有岩浆振荡环带(图 4).随机挑选62 颗锆石进行U-Pb 年龄测试,其中谐和度在90%~110%之内的有效数据56 个,结果如表 1图 5 所示.56 个有效年龄数据可分为3 组:280~369Ma(4 颗)、1800~2271Ma(43 颗,峰值1877Ma)、2507~2711Ma(9 颗)(图 5).Th/U 值介于0.1~1.38 之间的锆石有52 颗,Th/U 值小于0.1 的锆石仅4 颗(点8、39、53 和59).前者多具有较清晰的岩浆环带,应为岩浆锆石;后者内部结构不清晰,可能是变质锆石或受到后期变质作用影响所致[23].

    额里图组砂岩(14ELT3)中的锆石多为半自形短柱状-自形柱状,长40~150μm.锆石CL 图像呈灰白色-深灰色(图 4),多具有岩浆振荡环带,少数锆石具有核边结构(残留核).随机挑选70 颗锆石进行U-Pb 年龄测试,其中谐和度在90%~110%之内的有效数据61 个(表 1图 5).61 个有效年龄数据可分为3 组:271~371Ma(9 颗)、1258~1395Ma(18 颗,峰值1326Ma)、1695~2454Ma(34 颗,峰值1864Ma)(图 5).锆石Th/U 值介于0.06~1.29 之间,其中2 颗元古宙锆石(点26 和46)的Th/U 值小于0.1.结合锆石内部结构特征判断,Th/U 值大于0.1 的锆石为岩浆成因,反之则为变质锆石.

    针对三面井组和额里图组砂岩碎屑锆石年龄结构特点,各选取具有效年龄的锆石30 颗进行Lu-Hf 同位素测试,分析结果见表 2图 6.其中,三面井组砂岩(14SMJ4)锆石176Lu/177Hf 值分布于0.0000~0.0021 之间,176Hf/177Hf 值分布于0.281052~0.282444之间,具有较低的εHf(t)值(-23.67~+1.54).亏损地幔单阶段模式年龄TDM介于1179~3039Ma 之间,两阶段模式年龄TDM2为1667~3238Ma.额里图组砂岩(14ELT3)锆石176Lu/177Hf 值分布于0.0003~0.0016 之间,176Hf/177Hf 值分布于0.281190~0.282461 之间,εHf(t)值跨度较大,为-16.2~+8.8.亏损地幔单阶段模式年龄TDM介于1124~2833Ma 之间,两阶段模式年龄TDM2为1623~3104Ma.

    三面井组以富含类化石为特征.其中,Parafusulina splendens 广泛发育于贵州紫云、广西宜山、内蒙古白乃庙等地的下二叠统灰岩中,时代相当于栖霞期[24].Misellina claudiae、M.ovalis 则见于湘东南中—晚栖霞期蜓动物群中[25].本次研究获得三面井组砂岩最年轻的碎屑锆石年龄为280Ma, 可限定其沉积时代的下限.结合两者可以确定,三面井组沉积时代为早二叠世晚期.

    额里图组在西拉木伦河以南地区分布广泛.前人在1∶20 万区域地质调查过程中,多将其笼统地划归为三面井组或青凤山组③④.但是,内蒙古地质矿产局[26]认为,额里图组具有独特的岩性、岩相和生物群特征,将其置于下二叠统三面井组和中二叠统于家北沟组之间,时代为早二叠世晚期.田树刚等[27]根据额里图牧场地区发现的叶肢介和双壳类化石,将其划归为晚二叠世.事实上,早在20 世纪70 年代,前人就已经在额里图组中发现了诸多双壳类、叶肢介和植物化石,但这些化石时代指向意义不明确,并不足以限定地层时代.本次研究获得额里图组砂岩最年轻碎屑锆石年龄为271Ma, 证明额里图组沉积时代应略晚于三面井组,为中二叠世早期.

    从锆石年龄峰值分布图(图 5)可以看出,兴蒙造山带南缘下二叠统三面井组砂岩样品记录了晚古生代(280~369Ma, εHf(t)=-5.8~-23.7)、古元古代(1800~2271Ma, εHf(t) =- 12.2~ + 1.5)和新太古代(2507~2711Ma, εHf(t)=-2.9~+0.2)3 组碎屑锆石年龄;中二叠统额里图组砂岩样品记录了晚古生代(271~371Ma, εHf(t)=-5.3~-16.0)、中元古代(1258~1395Ma, εHf(t) =- 2.4~- 16.2)和古元古代(1695~2454Ma, εHf(t)值为-5.7~+8.8)3 组碎屑锆石年龄.

    三面井组和额里图组砂岩样品中最年轻的一组碎屑锆石均为晚古生代的岩浆锆石,锆石εHf(t)值为-5.3~-23.7,表现出华北克拉通岩浆岩的亲缘性,明显不同于兴蒙造山带岩浆岩锆石的Hf 同位素特征[28].区域资料表明,兴蒙造山带作为典型的显生宙增生型造山带,所发育的晚古生代岩浆岩均具有正εHf(t)值特征,模式年龄不老于新元古代[29].反之,华北克拉通北缘晚古生代岩浆岩因较多古老地壳物质的加入,其εHf(t)值多为负值,并显示较老的模式年龄,如冀北隆化、大光顶、菠萝诺等地区的晚石炭世侵入岩[30]、崇礼―赤城一带的早二叠世花岗岩[31].因此,这些晚古生代的碎屑锆石来自于华北克拉通北缘.

    中元古代,受Columbia 超大陆裂解的影响,华北克拉通北缘发生了一系列的构造岩浆事件,如化德南部双峰式岩浆岩(1313~1341Ma)[32]和辽西朝阳地区的辉绿岩岩墙(1300~1335Ma)[33].额里图组砂岩中记录的中元古代碎屑锆石年龄(1258~1395Ma)与上述岩浆活动在时间上具有一定的对应性.此外,这些碎屑锆石亏损地幔单阶段模式年龄为1879~2453Ma, 两阶段模式年龄为2226~3104Ma, 表现出与华北克拉通基底年龄的高度相似性.上述信息表明,华北克拉通北缘发育的中元古代岩浆岩可能是其主要物源区.

    三面井组和额里图组砂岩样品中均存在大量古元古代―新太古代的碎屑锆石,并形成约1.8Ga和约2.5Ga 的峰值年龄.与之相当的构造岩浆事件在华北克拉通内十分普遍[34],如冀北单塔子英云闪长质侵入岩[35]和内蒙古固阳高镁闪长岩[36],体现了华北克拉通典型的基底年龄组成信息.兴蒙造山带内部还未发现与之同期的岩浆活动.对于这种约1.8Ga 和约2.5Ga 碎屑锆石年龄组合,大部分学者认为其直接或间接来自于华北克拉通[37-38].

    围绕古亚洲洋东段最终闭合的时代问题,前人给出了许多不同的构造演化模式,主要有3 种观点:①双向俯冲模式[39-40].古亚洲洋板块向南部的华北克拉通及北部的蒙古地块持续的俯冲,并发育类似安第斯型的主动大陆边缘.②多岛弧模式[9-1041].石炭纪―早二叠世期间,内蒙古中东部地区由北往南依次为乌里亚斯太主动大陆边缘、锡林浩特地块、宝力道岛弧带及华北克拉通活动大陆边缘.这种模式体现了西伯利亚与华北克拉通自早古生代以来持续增生的特征.③残余海模式[42].古亚洲洋在中古生代期间就已经消失,晚石炭世以来内蒙古东南部地区是造山后伸展环境下形成的残余陆表浅海.基于上述3 种模式,兴蒙造山带南缘在晚古生代期间可能是板块俯冲带或伸展裂谷2 种截然不同的构造背景.

    王荃等[43]提出,华北克拉通北缘在早古生代晚期就已经由被动陆缘转化为主动陆缘,白云鄂博至温都尔庙一线存在向南的板块俯冲消减带.晚石炭世—二叠纪期间,该消减带是类似于安迪斯型的活动大陆边缘[3044-46].但是,从三面井组和额里图组砂岩的沉积物源看,华北克拉通北缘古老基底的剥蚀为其提供了主体碎屑物质,早古生代的白乃庙岛弧带及其以北的广大地区并没有物质供给,尤其缺乏与沉积时代相当的碎屑锆石.这种情况表明:①白乃庙岛弧带在早二叠世之前遭受了强烈的剥蚀作用,三面井组沉积时该区已经转变为沉积洼地;②早、中二叠世期间,研究区南部地势较高,但不存在诸如弧火山岩带的高地势阻隔区,大量的华北克拉通基底剥蚀碎屑物质能到达该区.此外,华北克拉通北缘晚古生代时期的侵入岩锆石Hf 同位素组成与前寒武纪基底变质岩也有明显的亲缘性,并没有明显的新的壳幔物质加入,与安第斯型岛弧火山岩总体偏正的Hf 同位素组成不同[47-48].实际上,华北克拉通北缘强烈的隆升作用发生于320~290Ma期间,但这种构造抬升作用与板块的碰撞或俯冲并没有直接关系[49-50].

    Cawood 等[51]认为,碎屑锆石年龄谱可以较好地反映构造环境,汇聚型板块边缘的沉积物以含有大量的与地层时代相近的碎屑锆石为特征,而伸展型盆地则主要由远大于地层时代的碎屑锆石组成.三面井组和额里图组砂岩碎屑锆石主要为中元古代―新太古代锆石,年龄在271~305Ma 之间的碎屑锆石仅占3.6%和13.1%,这一情况更加符合伸展型盆地边缘沉积物碎屑锆石的年龄谱特征.由此说明,早―中二叠世期间正镶白旗一带可能处于伸展构造环境.此外,研究区西部的温都尔庙地区,上石炭统阿木山组、下二叠统三面井组和呼格特组及中二叠统哲斯组也具有类似的碎屑锆石组成和构造背景[52-53],它们共同构成早―中二叠世期间兴蒙造山带南缘裂谷带.这一裂谷带向西经敦煌-阿拉善块体北部,直至塔里木克拉通北缘,并伴随强烈的岩浆活动[54].

    资料显示,兴蒙造山带早二叠世岩浆岩的时空分布和岩石组合特征与世界各主要显生宙造山带发育的后碰撞或后造山岩浆岩省一致[55].如蒙古Boom 和Bayan-Tsagan 岭碱性花岗岩岩[56-57]、Manda-kh 地块碱性花岗岩和A 型花岗岩[58]、内蒙古中部二连―东乌旗碱性花岗岩带[359]、西乌旗地区大石寨组双峰式火山岩[60]和造山后花岗岩[61]、锡林浩特A 型花岗岩[62]、达茂旗及其北部地区的双峰式火山岩[63]、镶黄旗乌兰哈达中二叠世后碰撞碱长花岗岩[64]等.早二叠世造山后花岗岩的广泛发育,不仅说明兴蒙造山带在这一时期已经结束块体拼合形成了一个统一的大陆,而且也指示该区在伸展环境下发育了一个裂陷盆地.裂陷盆地的出现,造成广泛的海侵作用.不整合于奥陶纪片麻状石英闪长岩之上的滨浅海相三面井组正是在该背景下沉积形成的.三面井组在区域上呈东西向展布,其厚度由北往南逐渐变薄的,也符合盆地由南往北逐渐变深的特点.至中二叠世,区域性伸展作用可能已经减弱,在地壳逐渐区域稳定后,内蒙古中东部地区广泛沉积了生物极度繁盛的浅海相哲斯组,而盆地边部则沉积了陆相-海陆交互相的额里图组.

    (1) 下二叠统三面井组和中二叠统额里图组砂岩碎屑锆石U-Pb 年龄及Hf 同位素特征与华北克拉通北缘火成岩锆石组成特征相似,反映其物源来自华北克拉通.

    (2) 碎屑锆石年龄组成特征表明,三面井组和额里图组砂岩沉积形成于伸展型盆地中.结合区域地质情况,认为兴蒙造山带南缘在早―中二叠世期间存在近东西向展布的裂谷带.
