Abstract:
Taking the foraminifera assemblage variation of the bottom layers of cheniers and the underlying muddy sediments in Jugezhuang Chenier as an example, the authors investigated the sea level indicative meanings of each sedimentary sub-environment at the bottom of the chenier body and the top of underlying muddy sediments. The vertical range of sea level reconstructed based on such indicators is ±0.225~±0.625m. Combined with the ages obtained from both the bottom of chenier body and the underlying muddy sediments, the authors reconstructed a relative sea level at -2.955~-2.715m during the period of 3900~3300cal BP.
