Abstract:
The Kumtor gold deposit, one of the most famous gold deposits in Asia, is the largest gold deposit in Kyrgyzstan. In this study, geochemical maps were compiled, and geochemical information was extracted from about 30000 geochemical data obtained from nine sheets at the scale of 1∶50000. On the basis of the results obtained from the Tianshan metallogenic belt in Kyrgyzstan, the geological and geochemical model of the Kumtor gold deposit was built. Guided by similar analogy theory and computer technology, the authors evaluated the resources potential of the Kumtor gold deposit in middle Tianshan belt in Kyrygzstan scientifically and delineated two prospecting prognostic areas.
