Abstract:
By investigating the main Mesozoic basins on the western periphery of the Songliao Basin, the authors redivided the Mesozoic strata in Longjiang basin and reinterpreted the meaning of Ganhe Formation. In Tuquan basin, Fujiawazi Formation is disintegrated into Fujiawazi Formation, Manketouebo Formation and Manitu Formation. The Mesozoic strata in Zhalute basin are redivided and, especially, a part of Paleozoic Dashizhai Formation is assigned to Tamulangou Formation and Manitu Formation according to isotopic dating results. The lithostratigraphy, biostratigraphy and and chronolithologic units in the main Mesozoic basins on the periphery of Songliao Basin were studied, which included Longjiang basin, Tuquan basin, Zhalute basin and Wulangai basin. The regional stratigraphic column and stratigraphic framework of the main basins were established for potential oil and gas prospective areas.
