Abstract:
Due to the topic of lithospheric thinning and destruction, the North China Craton (NCC), where the mafic dyke swarms since Mesozoic is widely distributed, has intensively regarded in recent literature. Systemic investigation on these swarms, however, is still scare. Based on the comprehensive summary, detailed data acquisition and informed research, a major discussion has been given in this paper for the Mesozoic mafic dyke swarms in NCC, including the current situation, distribution and significance. Moreover, some suggests on the dating of mafic dyke swarms also have been proposed.
