Abstract:
The Central South Peninsula of Southeast Asia is located at the intersection between the Tethys-Himalayan metallogenic zone and the Circum Pacific metallogenic zone, thus there are abundant ferrous metal resources including iron, manganese, chromite and titanioferrite. In this paper, based on systematic information collection and sorting, the authors set up a mineral deposits database for countries within this area (Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Burma, and Thailand), and have discussed roughly the ferrous metal deposit spectrum as well as the prospecting potential.
