Abstract:
A hydrogeological conceptual model is the basis of groundwater numerical modeling and groundwater resource assessments. A conceptual model of the Cretaceous groundwater basin was developed through analysis of the boundary conditions, hydrological structure, flow systems, hydrological parameters and sources and sinks. The sources and sinks of the groundwater balance and the hydraulic conductivity model were calculated using ArcGIS, RS, GMS, isotopes, base flow separation, geostatistics and stochastic modeling. The conceptual model and its corresponding mathematical expressions were developed and problems facing groundwater modeling and its development trend were discussed.
