Abstract:
Abstract: Geochemical mapping at scale of 1:1 million has been carried out in the Eastern Tianshan Mt in China and the Chu-Iliyskiy in Kazakhstan. The results display the following facts. Similar contents and contrasts of rock forming elements, iron group elements, REE and dispersion elements show that the geological and tectonic background is alike in the two regions. Significant difference of gold in two regions is that gold contents and contrasts in Chu-Iliyskiy are much higher than those in the Eastern Tianshan Mt. The background of nonferrous metal elements such as Cu, Pb and Zn is similar. The difference is that Cu anomalies occur as self-existent or associated with other nonferrous elements in the Eastern Tianshan Mt, but as associated with other precious metals in Chu-Iliyskiy. PGE contents and contrasts are alike, the anomalies are associated with basic/ultrabasic intrusive rocks and consistent with the distribution of black rock sequences. Micro-particle platinum and gold mineralization has been found in Chu-Iliyskiy.
