广东南雄盆地白垩系—古近系界线

    The Cretaceous-Paleogene boundary in the Nanxiong basin, Guangdong Province

    • 摘要: 在过去的30年中有数支考察队在广东南雄盆地进行了白垩纪和古近纪地层多学科的系统研究。本文综合了南雄盆地近年的岩石地层学、磁性地层学、地球化学、古生物学方面的研究成果和湖北新洲盆地时代相当于浓山组的地层中得到的同位素年龄,认为上湖组时代大体上与Danian期相当,或相当于北美哺乳动物分期Puercan和Torrejo-nian期,其底界接近于白垩系—古近系界线。

       

      Abstract: In the past30years several investigation teams have carried out multidisciplinary systematic study of the Cretaceous and Paleogene in the Nanxiong basin,Guangdong,and significant results in the study of petrostratigraphy,paleontology,biostratigraphy,magnetostratigraphy and chemostratigraphy in this basin have been published.On the basis of these data,coupled with the isotope ages obtained from the strata with an age equivalent to that of the Nongshan Formation in the Xinzhou basin,Hubei,the authors hold that the age of the Shanghu Formation in the basin may be approximately correlated to the early Danian of Europe or to the Puercan and Torrejonian of North America,and that its base is possibly close to the Creta-ceous/Paleogene boundary.
