Abstract:
Currently, the multi-purpose regional geochemical survey has extended into hilly and mountain areas, which has a relatively complicated geological background, soil genetic type, land use type and soil type compared to plain areas. How to lay out surface soil samples, so as to objectively and truly reflect the soil region geochemical characteristics has become a key issue. We collected soil samples in the hilly and mountain area of 40 km
2 south of Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province.According to the sample layout principle and sampling requirements of multi-purpose regional geochemical survey, collecting surface soil samples by 4 point/km
2 density and measuring 38 components. We evaluate the representativeness of different genesis soils through comparing the elements content and their spatial distribution. The results showed that, the mode of small lattice sampling and large lattice combination analysis could well reflect the element regional geochemical distribution; for most elements index, sampling alluvial soils which could represent the material composition of sample cell could better meet the requirements of representativeness. In the evaluation of As, Mn, Mo, Al
2O
3, MgO and K
2O geochemical anomalies, the residual slope soil can be collected. This study can provide theoretical basis for the improvement of soil sample collettion methods for multi-purpose region geochemical survey in hilly and mountain areas.
