Abstract:
Qimuchai granite-pegmatitic beryllium deposit is located in the Tengchong magmatic, and northeastern of the Na’o beryllium deposit.Beryl is distributed very unevenly and mainly concentrated in the albionite zone and feldspar quartz block.Pegmatite has the characteristics of high silicon, rich alkali, supersaturated aluminum and low iron, magnesium, calcium and titanium. The abundance of rare earth elements is low, and content is 1.54ppm~96.36ppm, the normalization curve of chondrite of rare earth elements is gentle to the right.Trace elements are enriched in large ion lithophile elements such as Rb and W, and depleted in high field strength elements. The rare metal elements such as Li, Be, Rb and Cs are enriched obviously, which is an alkaline - calc-alkaline peraluminous S-type granites.Zircon in pegmatites has the characteristics of reverse growth, indicating that the pegmatites were influenced by postmagmatic hydrothermal processes. The zircon

238U weighted mean age of beryl bearing granite-pegmatite is 40.73±0.32Ma, and the zircon

238U weighted mean age of granite-pegmatite is 44.08±0.62Ma.These are rare metal metallogenic events of Himalayan age, mainly formed in post-orogenic intraplate stretching environment. It was a response to the collision and orogeny of the Indo-Asian continent closed by the New Tethys Ocean.
