Abstract: The author has studied the“Longwangshan Formation”in Liyang,Jiangsu.From an analysisof the lithology , lithofacies,remnants , xenoliths and contact relationaships, he holds that the for-mation is a geologic body composed mainly of subvolcanic rocks with volcanic rocks and strati-graphic remnants. It is suggested that the“Longwangshan Formation”should be rejected and re-mains to be restudied.
